Capitol Art Society is the oldest visual arts group in Austin, Texas. It is a juried organization of forty-five professional artists formed in 1965 for the purpose of promoting our members' art work through group exhibitions. Represented are all two-dimensional media such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, colored pencil, pencil and pen and ink in many styles and subjects. Many of our members are published and in collections worldwide as well as award winners, art teachers and art demonstrators.
